Let's Get Outside!

The weather is warming up (mostly anyway!) and we’ve been itching to get outside this weekend. Luckily a lot of fun community events will be taking place!

The friends of the Marathon County Public Library Book Sale has already started, ending on Sunday with a $6 bag full of books sale!

Friends of the Library Book Sale- Marathon County Public Library

After you pick up something to read, stop by the Botanical Gardens. Saturday morning, they’re having a free guided tour to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day, and if you still feel like spending time outside (or don’t want to get up early), you can check out their green plant sale and flea market. If you love the look of green plants in your home but worry about killing them, maybe this list of the easiest plants to care for will help.

Meditation Garden- Robert W. Bonk Botanical Gardens. Doesn't it look peaceful?

Stop by the 2nd Ave Block Party and listen to some live music, there will also be food, family friendly activities, and raffles.

On Sunday, the Wausau Historical Society will have re-enactors giving a tour of Barker-Stewart Island, so you can take a step back in time to the old lumber boom days that helped to build our town. When you’re done, go wander in search of more modern discoveries at Open Streets Wausau!
